Dale Roberts was born and raised in liverpool, is a proud scouser, liverpool fan, story teller, beatle fan, public speaker and father.
Dale has been a Professional Beatle Tour Guide since 2017 and has worked in The Beatles Tourism Industry since 2015. Playing a key role in some of the most acclaimed tours in the world. His deep knowledge, engaging storytelling, and passion for promoting Liverpool as a city and it's people have made him a standout figure in Beatles tourism and has seen him work for and with some of the cities biggest attractions, brands and nominated for numerous awards over his near decade in the industry.
As the only guide to deliver scheduled “Behind The Scenes Tours” of the legendary Cavern Club, Dale has provided fans with exclusive insights into one of music’s most iconic venues. He has also been a key guide for the Magical Mystery Tour, where he not only set, but repeatedly broke feedback records, earning a reputation for delivering an unforgettable experience on Liverpool's longest running tour. His expertise in guiding, tour design and social media marketing led to a managerial role on The Magical Mystery Tour in 2022 after four years of working in the Head Office of Cavern City Tours.
Beyond these roles, Dale has successfully delivered walking tours, bike tours, excursions, bus tours and many other tours of numerous varieties to tens of thousands of visitors from all ages and nationalities. In 2022 he would be accepted onto a Beatles, Heritage and Music Industry Masters Degree in Liverpool University based on merit alone. His ability to connect with people and bring Beatles history to life has made him one of the most sought-after and in demand guides in Liverpool.
He has delivered tours to Hollywood stars, Grammy Award-winning musicians such as Elvis Costello, and even WWE legends like Mick Foley. He also proudly works with Liverpool FC’s Academy, sharing the city’s history with footballers who have went on to play and win trophies for the best football club in England.
Taking pride on being versatile and engaging as a public speaker, Dale has delivered after-dinner speeches and compèred events in some of Liverpool’s most prestigious venues, including the historic St George’s Hall. He has also been part of the organising committee for International Beatleweek, he has a talent for marketing, social media marketing, business development and tour design and this has been evidenced in the success he has enjoyed in the roles he's been in.
While being adamant of not calling himself a musician, Dale would come up with the idea and be part of a re-recording The Beatles’ first-ever song, "In Spite of All the Danger," in 2018, which has now amassed over 1.5 million streams on Spotify.
Despite his achievements, what Dale is most proud of is his "satisfaction guaranteed" approach to tour guiding. In over seven years guiding on The Magical Mystery Tour, he has never received a single complaint—a testament to his dedication, passion, and ability to connect with people through the power of story telling. Between May 2023 and May 2024 Dale would receive 673 five star reviews in a year while working part time for the Magical Mystery Tour, nearly double of the nearest guide. Playing a major role in the Magical Mystery Tour being named The 8th Best Tour in The World.
It wouldn't be the first time he would have a part in one of the worlds best tours, as in 2017 he was asked to design a City&Beatle Tour for Liverpool City Sights while he was Head of Marketing there. Alongside the team there he would do just that and in 2022 (4 years after Dale had left the company) the tour would be named one of the world's best.
Dale would set up Liverpool Eco Tours ltd in 2023, which would rebrand to Dale Liverpool Tours ltd in 2024 and deliver tours that are focused on being unique, high quality and also responsible.
Most recently, he has taken his love for Beatles history to the next level by becoming a part-owner of George Harrison’s childhood home, a house that is full of history, a Quarrymen and Beatle rehearsal space that has now been partially restored and turned into an AirBnB.
