Who are we?

Hello! My name is Dale Roberts and I am the owner of Liverpool Eco Tours ltd. In 2023 I set up Liverpool Eco Tours after 8 years of working in the tourism industry of Liverpool, across a variety of roles.

The idea for this company came in the June of 2022, when I would receive a phone call from a friend who wanted to invest in the tour industry of Liverpool and wanted my advice. I said instinctively “there is no chance that we could have another tour bus in Liverpool” and I spent the rest of the day thinking about that exact thought, wondering how sustainable it is for the city to expand tour options while reducing our carbon footprint and lowering city centre pollution. The thought became a vision and the vision would eventually become a reality.

I had been toying with the idea of investing in environmentally friendly tour options years before that phone call, but I would start making it a reality. I started creating the idea for a progressive, sustainable, fun, educational and beneficial tour company that puts caring for the city and the people who live here at the heart of welcoming guests into it. Has it been an easy journey? Absolutely not! But at the start of 2023 I would make the leap into making the dream a reality… and here we are.

I have a wealth of experience within the Liverpool tourism industry, starting out as a writer, then working for companies like The Beatles Story. I would join Liverpool City Sights as their marketing manager and be part of the team that would design their City&Beatle Tour. I would then join Cavern City Tours, owners of the legendary Cavern Club and Magical Mystery Tour and organisers of International Beatleweek, the worlds biggest Beatle festival. I would become the tour guide behind “The Cavern Club - behind the scenes tour” and eventually I would end up the manager of the world famous Magical Mystery Tour of Liverpool.

Showing people around Liverpool is my passion, I am experienced at doing it and shouting about the people of Liverpool and what we have achieved is what I do best. No matter why you are visiting this page, no matter where you are from - I look forward to working for you, or with you, to deliver tours of the highest standard to showcase this incredible city that I call home.
